Surat Women's Challenger Trophy
All-round bowling show powers Surat Striker to title win
Surat Striker defeated Shree Sports Women by nine wickets to lift the Women's Challengers Trophy in Surat recently. Shree Sports began with a 42-run opening stand from Venisha and Simran Patel. However, Gouri Goyal and Shreya dismissed the opening duo and from there on the team couldn't recover and lost their last nine wickets adding only 40 runs.
Chasing 83 for victory, skipper Renuka Chaudhary led the team from the front with an unbeaten 52. The Surat Striker captain was also the highest run-getter (283 runs) and highest wicket-taker of the tournament (15 wickets).

Maharashtra Women's U19 One Day Invitation Tournament Organised by MCA:
Aachal leads from the front for Team DVCA
Skipper Aachal Agarwal's 62 powered Team DVCA to victory against Team PDCA in the final of the U19 One Day Invitational tournament organised by Maharashtra Cricket Association. Agarwal's fifty helped Team DVCA reach 210/6 in their 50 overs. In reply, Team PDCA were bundled out for 144 with Samidha Chougale grabbing three wickets for 32 runs.
Brief scores: Final: Team DVCA 210/6 (Aachal Agarwal 62, Suhani Kahandal 43) beat Team PDCA 144 all out (Shivanshi Kapoor 31, Samidha Chougal 3/32).

Samayita's unbeaten 98 powers Alpine SC to victory
Alpine SC defeated former champions Aakraman SC in the final of SICA Women's Club tournament recently. Alpine SC were reduced to 69/7 in 12 overs. However, Samayita Roy, who had earlier scored a double century in the tournament, helped them recover with an unbeaten 98 from 68 balls. Chasing 135, Aakraman SC were skittled out for 84. Mirkit Lepcha produced an exceptional spell of bowling claiming six wickets and conceded seven runs.
Brief scores: Alpine SC 135/9 (Samayita 98 n.o, Purni Maya Gurung 2/19) beat Aakraman SC 84 all out (Purni Maya Gurung 27, Mirkit Lepcha 6/7).
