2nd 7a side Hockey tournament
In the 2nd 7-a-side Hockey Tournament held at Annaram Stadium, Kanchipuram, Kanchi Hockey Club emerged as the champions. They defeated Dollars Hockey Club and won the title with a 2-1.
In the semi-finals, Kanchi Hockey Club defeated Dr. M.G.R. Palacode 3-1. On the other side, Dollars Hockey Club won against Siragugal Hockey Club 2-1.
The tournament featured intense competition among 16 teams. Selva Raj from Dr. M.G.R. Palacode was named the best player for his exceptional skills. Nithish Kumar from Kanchi Hockey Club was recognized as the best defender, and Eliya from Kanchi Hockey Club was honored as the best forward for their outstanding performances.
Kanchi Hockey Club received the top prize of ₹15,000. Dollars Hockey Club took second place, earning ₹10,000. Dr. M.G.R. Palacode and Siragugal Hockey Club finished in third and fourth places, receiving ₹7,000 and ₹5,000 respectively.
The tournament, held on June 2nd, showcased thrilling matches and impressive individual performances.
