St Bede's won the Tagore Sports-TNCA City Schools Boys U16 cricket tournament
St Bede's AIHSS 'A' lifted the Tagore Sports - TNCA City Schools Boys U16 tournament - C Ramaswamy Trophy - defeating Lalaji Memorial Omega International School (NIOS) by six runs in the final held at the Tagore Medical College Ground recently.
Riding on S Prabanjan's 82 and S Kumaresan's unbeaten 35, St Bede's AIHSS 'A' posted 219/8 in 50 overs with B Sandeep (3/38) and TM Kavin (3/44) claiming three wickets each for Lalaji Omega.
In the chase, despite half-centuries from Rajath Rangarajan (64) & TM Kavin (56) and a cameo from Arya Ganesh (30), Lalaji Omega fell short by six runs as they ended up with 213/8 in 50 overs. Sidarrth Ravi's three-wicket haul (3/28) helped St Bede's defend the total in the final.
Dr. M. Mala, Chairperson and Managing Trustee Tagore Group of Educational Institutions was the chief guest and distributed the trophies and certificates to the winners and runners in the presence of Mr G. Manikandan, Secretary, Tagore Educational Trust.
