It was important for the nation as well, as it showed that the talent and hard work of a person really pays off. Neeraj's win in the Olympics has given new hope to millions of Indians and set new standards for Indian athletics.
Lovlina Borgohain, Tokyo 2020 Olympics, Women’s Boxing, Welterweight Class – Bronze Medallist.
Lovlina Borgohain’s bronze in the women’s welterweight category at Tokyo 2020 remained a notable moment in Indian boxing. Lovlina was fighting for the first time in the Olympics, and she displayed how professional and goal-getter she was. She performed to the best of her ability in the rounds, demonstrating much potential and concentration. It was against former world champion Nien-Chin Chen in the semifinal, which she won and made her way to the podium. Although she was knocked out in the semi-finals by Turkey’s Busenaz Surmeneli, Lovlina bagged the bronze and is one of India’s bright boxing prospects. She is indeed a pride of the nation and its people as she achieved what she had set out to accomplish.

Sindhu PV, Bronze Medal, Women’s Singles Badminton, Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
Another feather in the Olympic medal tally, PV Sindhu added another feather to her hat as she won the bronze in women’s singles badminton at Tokyo 2020. Sindhu proved her mettle and her fighting spirit after the Rio 2016 Olympics when she clinched the silver medal in Tokyo. She overcame a lot of challenges to win the bronze medal beating China’s He Bing Jiao. This win made her the first woman from India to win two individual Olympic medals.
Ravi Kumar Dahiya, Silver – Men's 57kg Wrestling – Tokyo 2020
In the wrestling competition, especially in the men's 57kg category at the Tokyo Olympics, Ravi Kumar Dahiya won the silver. A first-timer at the Olympics, Ravi showed that he is a force to reckon with. The way to the final was not that smooth for him since he had to wrestle Nurislam Sanayev from Kazakhstan in the semi-final and made an excellent comeback. Uguev from Russia, who was the world champion, was his opponent in the final, and he had to settle for the silver medal. Ravi's success put India on the map and focused attention on Indian wrestling, and those who want to follow Ravi's path and aim for the Olympics must work with the same spirit and dedication.

The wrestling event at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games was exciting for Indian wrestlers, especially Bajrang Punia, who won the bronze medal in the men's 65 kg category. Bajrang, who is famous for his power and endurance in wrestling, faced powerful competitors in the tournament. He was back in the ring in the bronze medal match against Daulet Niyazbekov of Kazakhstan, but he got injured in the process. But he fought well to secure the victory of the match.
