Sham emerged winner in the Open Category of the Tharun Tejas chess tournament
Sham emerged winner in the Open Category of the Tharun Tejas - 3rd Tamil Nadu State-level chess tournament organized by Tharun Tejas Chess Academy affiliated to Tiruvallur District Chess Association at Sethu Bhaskara Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Ambattur held on October 20.
A record number of more than 750 players participated in various categories.
The chief guests Mr. Gunasekaran (Hon., Secretary, Tiruvallur District Chess Association) and State Chess Champion, Mrs. Gayathri Chopon (Sec. Tharun Tejas Chess Academy) and Karthick Perumal (Tharun Tejas Chess Academy) distributed the prizes.
Tournament was well supported by Mr. R.K. Chopon Babu (Hon., Joint Secretary, Tiruvallur District Chess Association), International Arbiter Mr. Nandakumar Veeraghavann (Chief Arbiter), Sethu Bhaskara School Management, Co-Arbiters, support staff, players, and parents.
