SRMIST 'A' men’s volleyball team won the gold in the 5th State college volleyball championship organised by Virudhunagar District Volleyball Association.
The event was held at Rajapalayam, Virudhunagar from 29th September 29 to October 2.

Final: SRMIST beat DG Vaishnav College, Chennai
25-23, 21-25, 25-20, 23-25, 15-13.
Semi-Finals: SRMIST beat Loyola College, Chennai 18-25, 25-20, 25-22, 25-16.
Quarter Finals: SRMIST beat SRMIST ‘B’ 25-27, 25-20, 25-17, 25-21.
Final Standings:
Winner: SRMIST.
Runner: DG Vaishnav College, Chennai.
3rd Place: Loyola College, Chennai.
Best Player: Deepak Kumar (SRMIST).
