Rishi Vasan picked up a double in the Sportygram badminton tournament held at the MTD Sports, Pallikaranai, recently. Rishi won the men's open single defeating Arunachalam in the final. He then partnered Sakthivel to get past the pair of Roshan and Subash in the doubles final. Muhil won the boys' under-11 and under-13 singless titles.
Mytheri won the girls' under-13 singles titles getting past Sanaa, while the under-17 crown was claimed by V. Swati who defeated Shalini in the final.
The tournament was held at MTD Sports, Pallikaranai. Around 300 matches were played in the round-robin-cum-knockout tournament with 60 teams taking part in the competition.
The results: Boys: under- 9: 1. Yuvan Raj, 2. G D Yuvan; U-11: 1. Muhil, 2. Gowtham; U-13: 1. Muhil, 2. Pragadeesh; U- 15: 1. Jishnu, 2. Manish; U- 17: 1. Ananth, 2. Varun.

GIRLS: UNDER - 13: 1. Mytheri, 2. Sanaa: U-17: 1. V. Swati, 2. Shalini.
