Defeats defending champion Thiruvallur
Salem dethroned the defending champion Thiruvallur in the final of the TNCA inter-Districts U-16 Tournament by 84 runs to lift the P.R. Thevar Trophy.
In the three-day game held from January 29 to 31, Salem was well-served by legspinner T Ashwin who bagged five for 30.
