SRM IST women’s team cliched the goldmedal in the Mrs. P. Manorama Benjamin Memorial first State-level women's Open hockey tournament held at Tirunelveli Hockey Academy from August 23 to 26.
SRM IST defeated STC Acdemy, Tiruneleli -0 in the final to finish on top.

Final: SRM IST beat STC Academy, Tirunelveli 3-0.
Semifinals: SRM IST beat Tamil Nadu Police 4-1.
Quarterfinals: SRM IST beat Govt. College, Udumalaipettai 2-0.
League: SRM IST beat Krishnagiri 5-0.
