Sparkling knocks by Josh Shane Francis (97) and Raghav KV (75 n.o.) were instrumental in St. Bede’s thumping triumph in the Junior Super Kings tournament.
St. Bedes AIHSS Chennai emerged as the winners beating Sri Jayendra SGJ (Tirunelveli) by 66 runs in the final held under floodlight at the ICL Sankar Nagar Cricket Ground in Tirunelveli.
Chennai Super Kings Cricket Limited CEO KS Viswanathan was the Chief Guest for the closing ceremony and addressed players from both teams. S Sriram, Head of Finance, Chennai Super Kings Cricket Limited, Dr. Hakkim Khan, Regional Business Manager, Equitas Small Finance Bank and R Varadhan (Joint Secretary, TDCA) were the other guests of honour.
About Junior Super Kings
Junior Super Kings is an inter-school T20 championship conducted by Chennai Super Kings. First launched in 2012 as a 32-team tournament within Chennai, it has grown with every passing year and spread across multiple districts of Tamil Nadu and other states as well.
Star players like Sai Sudharsan, Washington Sundar and Shahrukh Khan have participated in Junior Super Kings during their school days.
The 2024-25 edition saw 108 schools from 23 districts and 4 states participating.
