United India Insurance defeated New India Assurance in the final of the first inter-PSGIC T20 Cricket tournament on August 4 at AMS College Ground, Avadi, Chennai. The tournament hosted by United India Insurance was held among four public sector general insurance companies situated in Chennai.
Mr. B.S. Rahul, CMD, United India Insurance Co Ltd., gave away the trophies and prizes.
Mr. N.K. Sidhu, General Manager, UIIC was also present on the occasion.

New India Assurance 156 for five in 20 overs (S. Lokith 53 not out, R.R. Senthil 38, S.S. Sarath 2/32, B.A. Syed Iqbal Ahmed 2/140 lost to United India Insurance 160 for five in 17.2 overs (Parveen Jakhar 62, S. Lokith 2/18, Abhishek 2/32).
