Green Field CA lift Freyer-LMCA Trophy
Green Field CA won the Freyer-LMCA Trophy 2024 defeating Stumped CA by 22 runs in the final at the KVT-LMCA Ground, Chennai recently. Skipper VK Vineeth smashed a 60-ball 72 with 11 fours and a six to ensure Green Field CA put up a good total on the board - 144/9 - in their 25 overs. Right-arm medium pacer V Arjun claimed four wickets for 19 runs, while K Mohith Sathyasai picked two wickets (2/17) for Stumped CA.
In reply, Stumped CA were bowled out for 122 in 24.1 overs with S Vishvajit (3/17) & M Roshan 2/12) doing the damage with the ball for Green Field CA. Arjun, who had earlier bagged four wickets with the ball, scored 47 for Stumped CA and his knock went in vain.
CSK CEO Mr K.S. Viswanathan, Dr RN Baba,honorary asst.secretary TNCA, Mr PG Subramanian, Prinicipal, Bhavan's Rajaji Vidyashram, Kilpauk were the guests of honours and they distributed prizes and trophies. Mr TJ Srinivasaraj, MD Freyer & Co. had presided over the function.
