PSBB Senior Secondary School is placed second
The La Chatelaine Junior College won the overall trophy with 13 points in the Anita Methodist Matriculation Higher Secondary School inter-school chess tournament conducted in collaboration with the Emmanuel Chess Centre.
PSBB Senior Secondary School won the second prize with 10 points, and All Angels Matriculation Higher Secondary School won the third prize with 9 points.
The tournament was held to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee to mark the school’s milestone of 60 years in educational service to society on Tuesday January 21, 2025’
About 258 children from 30 schools participated in this one-day event.
Bishop Dr. E D Yesurathnam, CRC, Methodist Church in India inaugurated the event while Mrs. Lily Priya, Principal, Anita Methodist Higher Secondary School talked about the DST Project (The impact of chess training on the cognitive functions of children) that was successfully conducted in this school.
Dr. Ebenezer Joseph, India’s First FIDE Trainer, Candidate Master of FIDE & Lead School Instructor was the Chief Guest.
The children from class 1 to 12 participated in this event and they were divided into six categories according to their grades.
