Ambedkar kabaddi Club, Ayyanar Palayam, won the First Grand kabaddi festival tournament held at Ayyanar Palayam, Perambalur on June 1.
Ambedkar Kabaddi Club defeated Rishik Sports Club, Kallanatham 31-19 in the final.
Thirty-five teams participated in the tournament.
The winner went home richer by Rs. 8000 prizemoney and a trophy. The runner-up go Rs. 6000, the third prize team got Rs. 5000, while the fourth placed team Rs. 4000.
The results: Ambedkar Kabaddi Club beat Rishik Sports Club 31-19.
Semifinals: Rishik Sports Club beat Kallai Kabaddi Club, Kallakurichi; Ambedkar Kabaddi Club beat Praba Memorial Sports Club, Lathuvaadi.
3rd place: Kallai Kabaddi Club.
4th place : Prabha Memorial Sports Club.
